معرفی
Dr. Anne Crilly is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health and Life Sciences at the University of the West of Scotland, specializing in immunology and inflammatory disease mechanisms. Her research focuses on protease-activated receptor 2 (PAR2) in conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and COPD.
Research areas:
- Molecular pathways in inflammatory diseases
- PAR2 signaling in arthritis and lung conditions
- Synovial fibroblast biology in joint remodeling
- Extracellular vesicles in cartilage erosion
Crilly's publications demonstrate consistent investigation into inflammatory pathways, with recent work examining exercise interventions for joint disease and bacterial colonization in COPD. She collaborates with clinical partners to translate research findings into therapeutic approaches.
Awards and honors:
- Asthma/COPD Project of the Year (2018)
- Vice Chancellor's Award for Research Culture (2020)
- Fellow of Higher Education Academy
Crilly teaches undergraduate biomedical science and nursing students, focusing on immunology concepts across multiple course levels.
