Dr. Anne B. Edwards is a Professor in the Department of Human Development & Family Science at Purdue University Northwest. She specializes in the experiences of older adults with lifelong disabilities, caregiver stress in dementia and chronic illness contexts, and health advocacy for cognitively impaired seniors. She earned her Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University.
Research: Focuses on caregiver stress dynamics, cross-cultural caregiving practices, and the lived experiences of individuals with lifelong disabilities. She integrates qualitative and quantitative methods into her work.
Awards:
- Felix Berardo Scholarship Award for Mentoring (2019)
Teaching: Teaches statistics, research methods, lifespan development, and family dynamics. Her pedagogy emphasizes interpersonal interactions' societal impact and intergenerational learning.
