Professor Annapurna Waughray is a Professor of Human Rights Law at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. She holds multiple qualifications including a PhD, LLM (Liverpool), BA (Hons) and MA from the University of Cambridge, and a PGCE in Higher Education. Her research focuses on caste discrimination, international human rights law, and equality legislation, particularly in the UK and India. She is a non-practising solicitor and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
