Dr. Annalisa Quattrocchi is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology and Associate Head of the Department of Primary Care and Population Health at the University of Nicosia Medical School. She also serves as Programme Coordinator for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Public Health (MPH) in Disasters (EMJM PHID). Her academic career includes a BSc, MSc, and PhD in Biological Sciences and Translational Biomedicine from the University of Catania, Italy, and an EPIET diploma from the ECDC in Sweden.
Dr. Quattrocchi's research focuses on cancer epidemiology, social determinants of health, nutritional epidemiology, and infectious disease surveillance. Her work emphasizes chronic disease development, environmental health risks, and pandemic response strategies. She has contributed to studies on antibiotic resistance patterns, post-COVID-19 mortality trends, and public health surveillance systems.
Her recent articles (2022–2025) highlight themes such as:
