Dr. Annalisa Nicholson is a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at King's College London. She holds a PhD in French from the University of Cambridge and previously held a Laming Research Fellowship at The Queen's College, Oxford.
Her research specializes in early modern Francophone literature with focus areas including women's writing, exile studies, transnational encounters, and salon culture. Her book project examines Hortense Mancini's exiled salon in Restoration London.
Nicholson has received recognition including an Honorable Mention from the Society for the Study of Early Modern Women and Gender for her work on speculative history. She engages in public scholarship through media appearances and festival presentations.
