Annalaura STINGO

Annalaura Stingo is a Professor Monge (tenure-track position) at the Laurent Schwartz Mathematics Center (CMLS) at École Polytechnique, France. She previously served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of California, Davis (2018–2021), and held postdoctoral fellowships at MSRI (Spring 2021) and ICERM (Fall 2021). She earned her PhD in 2018 from Université Paris 13 under Jean-Marc Delort. Her research focuses on dispersive partial differential equations, mathematical relativity, and wave turbulence, with applications to microlocal analysis and fluid mechanics. In 2025, she was awarded the Launching Package grant from Fondation de l'École Polytechnique to advance her research on weak turbulence phenomena and semiclassical limits in higher-dimensional gravity theories.

Teaching: Since 2022, she has been an academic advisor in mathematics at École Polytechnique’s Bachelor program. She taught courses such as Topology and Multivariate Calculus (MAA202), Complex Analysis (MAA313), and organized student mathematical seminars. In 2024/25, she temporarily paused teaching duties.

Research Contributions: Dr. Stingo has co-organized workshops like the 2024 ‘Turbulent·e·s’ conference on wave turbulence and kinetic theory. Her work explores global stability of spacetime models (e.g., Kaluza-Klein), quasilinear wave systems, and nonlinear dynamics. She has presented at international venues including the University of Zurich, EPFL, and Oberwolfach.
