Anna Wittstruck serves as Associate Professor of the Practice and Director of the Boston College Symphony Orchestra in the Department of Music at Boston College, a position she assumed in Fall 2023. Her responsibilities include conducting the BCSO, teaching music history and chamber music, directing instrumental ensembles, and overseeing applied instrumental studies within the department.

- Ph.D. in Musicology from Stanford University
Research Interests: Dr. Wittstruck's scholarship centers on music-dance collaborations, gender studies in musical contexts, and embodiment theory. Her work bridges academic research with practical conducting experience, informed by international performance engagements and her dual expertise as both conductor and orchestral cellist. This interdisciplinary approach connects performance practice with critical analysis of bodily expression in musical settings.
