Anna Wienhard

Anna Wienhard is an Honorary Professor at the University of Leipzig's Mathematical Institute and Director of the 'Geometry, Groups, and Dynamics' division at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences. Her research focuses on geometric structures, representation varieties, and their applications in mathematics and data science. She leads collaborative initiatives like the International Max Planck Research School and ScaDS.AI, integrating geometric methods with machine learning.

Research Interests: Her work spans higher Teichmüller theory, Anosov representations, and geometric structures on manifolds. Recent projects explore applications of Higgs bundles, moduli spaces, and persistent homology in quantum dynamics and data analysis.
