Anna Simonati is a Full Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Trento's Faculty of Law. She holds a PhD in Fundamental Freedoms in Constitutional and EU Administrative Law and has been a faculty member since 2000, progressing from Research Fellow to Associate Professor (2014) and Full Professor (2020). She serves as Dean's Delegate for Equal Opportunities and Foreign Students' Career.

Research focuses on Administrative Law, Transparency & Privacy, Gender Studies, Cultural Heritage, and EU Law. She leads initiatives like the Transjus Lab for Legal Linguistics and participates in global projects (e.g., E.L.I. on AI in Public Administration). Active in teaching, she coordinates courses on Administrative Law, Gender Studies, and Cultural Heritage at undergraduate and master’s levels.
Awards include recognition for her 2018 Public Integrity Journal contribution. She engages in policy advising, chairs international study groups (IIAS Commons & EGPA Diversity), and holds editorial roles in journals like Public Integrity and Administrative and Environmental Law Review.
Labs/Teams: Transjus Lab, IV International Permanent Study Group on Quality of Governance, and Gender Studies initiatives at the University of Trento.
