معرفی
Anna Severine Beck serves as a PartTime Lecturer and External Lecturer at the SAXO-Institute within the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Copenhagen, specializing in Archaeology, Ethnology, Greek & Latin, and History. She actively contributes to academic governance through her role on the Studienævnet (study board) for the Saxo-Institute.
Her research focuses on Danish medieval religious landscapes, particularly church demolitions and grave peace traditions, as evidenced by her co-edited 2010 anthology examining St. Michael's church ruin in Roskilde. This work bridges Archaeology, History, and Ethnology through analyses of funerary customs, Christian ritual practices, and cultural heritage preservation within Scandinavian contexts.
Beck's scholarly activities demonstrate strong regional specialization in Danish historical sites while engaging with broader themes of religious transformation and material culture. Her editorial collaboration with Harvig, Thirup Kastholm, and Borake reflects active participation in interdisciplinary archaeological discourse centered on Roskilde's significant historical landscape.
