معرفی
Anna Sablina is an Associate Professor at the KU Leuven, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Oncology. She heads the Laboratory for Mechanisms of Cell Transformation (VIB-KU Leuven) and is a member of the VIB-KU Leuven Center for Cancer Biology, Leuven.IRD, and KU Leuven Cancer Institute.
Research Interests: Dr. Sablina focuses on RAS signaling, ubiquitination, protein degradation, and cancer biology. Her work targets RAS-driven cancers (e.g., lung, pancreatic) through novel anti-RAS therapeutics, proteoastasis modulation, and mechanisms of therapeutic resistance.
Article Trends: Recent publications emphasize structural biology techniques for RAS inhibition, ubiquitination's role in RAS activity, metabolic adaptations in cancer cells, and translational approaches for breast and pancreatic cancers. Key subfields include protein interaction mapping, nanobody technology, and precision oncology.
Advising & Grants: Supervises PhD students
- Tatiana Ivanisevic (LZTR1 in RAS-driven tumorigenesis)
- Willem Magits (Ubiquitin code of RAS GTPases)
Labs & Collaborations: Head of the Laboratory for Mechanisms of Cell Transformation and collaborates with the KU Leuven Cancer Institute and VIB-KU Leuven Center for Cancer Biology.
