Anna Ramos

Anna Ramos is a Lecturer and Academic Advisor in the Department of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Connecticut's College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources. A first-generation college graduate and UConn alum, she earned both her BS in Dietetics and MS in Health Promotion from UConn. She is a Registered Dietitian (RD) with over 10 years of clinical experience, primarily in primary care settings serving vulnerable populations.

Her expertise includes chronic disease management through nutritional interventions, preventative lifestyle behaviors, and addressing weight stigma in healthcare. She developed an interprofessional training program for healthcare providers on reducing weight bias in clinical settings.

Professional experience includes collaborative work in interdisciplinary health teams and faculty membership on the Complex Care Management Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes), focusing on medically complex patients.
