Anna Olaison is an Associate Professor at Uppsala University's Department of Social Work. She holds a PhD in Elderly and Aging from Linköping University (2009) and has been active in CESAR since July 2018. Her research focuses on institutional interactions between welfare systems and citizens, particularly in elderly care needs assessments, LGBTQ+ care needs, and cross-cultural practices. She leads projects funded by Forte and Region Östergötland, including studies on needs assessment fairness and primary care for frail elderly. Olaison’s work emphasizes documentation practices, professional discretion, and the impact of social policies on service delivery.
