Anna ONeill

Mrs Anna ONeill is a Senior Lecturer in Practice Development at the Faculty of Health, Education and Society, University of Northampton. With over 18 years of nursing experience across diverse clinical settings (elderly medicine, general medicine, end-of-life care in Australia, ITU, gynaecology, and aesthetic nursing), she has served as a District Nurse for 8 years and currently teaches academic modules while leading the first-year practice module team since 2016. Anna also works as an NMC Competency Test Centre nurse assessor, ensuring international nurses meet UK practice standards.

Her roles include Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor since 2018, delivering MHFA training to first-year students as part of her commitment to integrating mental health competencies into nursing education. She maintains active clinical engagement through her assessor role, bridging academic instruction with real-world practice requirements.
