Dr. Anna Moore Winter is an Assistant Professor in Child Psychiatry and Medical Informatics at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on developing personalized, preventative clinical pathways for children's mental health through innovative data-driven approaches.
- Developed CADRE (Child and Adolescent Data REsource), a privacy-preserving federated analytics platform for ethically approved mental health research
- PI of NIHR Applied Research Collaborative North Thames' national evaluation of i-THRIVE, a system-wide approach to integrated child mental health care
- Created D-CYPHR (DNA – children and young people’s health resource) and CA:RING (Child and adolescent research involvement for the next generation) community engagement initiatives
Her work combines electronic health records, genetic data, and deep phenotyping to create digital tools for early mental health intervention in children. Key ethical and governance considerations are embedded in her research framework.
She previously served as Director of Mental Health at UCL Partners, leading the national CAMHS transformation program i-THRIVE, which now covers over 70% of children in England. Her expertise includes predictive modeling for emergency department mental health services and large-scale system implementations.
