Anna Minguzzi serves as CNRS Research Director at the Laboratory of Physics and Modeling of Condensed Media in Grenoble and directs the QuantAlps Research Federation, uniting 18 Grenoble laboratories in quantum science and technology under Grenoble Alpes University affiliation.
She earned her doctorate from Italy's Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa in 1999 before joining CNRS in 2005.
Her pioneering theoretical work bridges atomic physics and condensed matter physics, specializing in cold atoms and semiconductor exciton-polaritons. This research underpins the emerging field of atomtronics for quantum technologies, achieved through extensive experimental collaborations that decode complex quantum system behaviors.
Her distinguished recognition includes:
- CNRS Silver Medal 2023
As co-founder and director of QuantAlps, she drives regional quantum innovation while previously leading the European "Quantum Grenoble" project for international research training, demonstrating significant leadership in quantum science ecosystem development.
