Anna Mariana Bohlin is Professor of Nordic Literature at the Department of Linguistic, Literary and Aesthetic Studies, University of Bergen. Her research explores Nordic literary traditions with focus on 19th-century Scandinavian literature, nationalism, and emotion studies.
Her research examines the interplay between literature, national identity formation, and emotional representation in Scandinavian contexts. Key areas include: gender and citizenship in 19th-century literature, corporeal representations of nationalism, and the evolution of literary forms in Scandinavian traditions.
