Anna Madeleine Ayeh is a Researcher in Social Anthropology at the University of Bayreuth, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Institute of African Studies (IAS). She holds a Master's degree in African Culture & Society (2015) and a Bachelor's in Islamic Studies and Social Anthropology (2011).

- Bachelor's thesis on Islamic law and statehood in Nigeria and Sudan
Her research spans anthropology of Islam, gender dynamics, postcolonial theory, youth education, and ethnographic representation, with a regional emphasis on West Africa. Recent publications explore structural power imbalances in fieldwork, legislative responses to gender-based violence, and interdisciplinary academic collaboration. Awards include the VAD Young Talent Prize 2016 for her Master's thesis. She is actively involved in conference reporting and critical academic discourse.
