Dr Anna Louise Hudson is a researcher at Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) and affiliated with the Medicine & Health school. She completed her doctorate in 2010, investigating the neural control of human inspiratory muscles using single motor unit EMG recordings. Her work spans respiratory control, motor control, and sensorimotor cortical mechanisms in both healthy subjects and patients with disorders like COPD, obstructive sleep apnea, and asthma, utilizing techniques such as EEG, EMG, and ultrasound.
- Research Focus: Neural and mechanical control of respiratory and limb muscles, respiratory diseases (including COPD, asthma), motor control, and medical physiology.
- Supervision Areas: Respiratory control, respiratory diseases, and EEG signal processing.
