Anna Korteweg is a Professor at the Department of Sociology, University of Toronto Mississauga. She focuses on Muslim citizens in European and North American societies, examining issues related to the headscarf, 'honour-based' violence, Sharia law, and citizenship. Her current SSHRC-funded research explores the return of ISIS members to Europe and LGBTQ+ refugee politics.
