Anna Klimina is an Associate Professor and Department Head in the Economics Department at St. Thomas More College, University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Her research focuses on post-Soviet transition economies, institutionalist and Post-Keynesian perspectives, and the history of Russian economic thought. She holds a PhD in Economics (2004) from the University of Manitoba, a PhD equivalent from the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (1992), and an MA in Political Economy from Kiev State University (1987).
Her work critiques neoliberal policies and explores alternative frameworks for economic development in post-Soviet contexts. Key projects include analyzing state capture dynamics, the legacy of Russian philosophical traditions, and the relevance of ethical political economy in historical contexts. She has published extensively in journals like Journal of Economic Issues and contributed chapters to major handbooks on heterodox economics.
