Dr. Anna Johnson is Assistant Professor of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of St. Thomas. As a developmental psychologist, she investigates emotional development, stress responses, and self-regulation across childhood and adolescence.
Her research examines behavioral and biological mechanisms underlying social-emotional functioning, particularly how cognitive strategies influence stress reactivity. Current projects focus on mindfulness interventions and neurobiological responses to social feedback during developmental transitions.
Dr. Johnson's publications analyze psychobiological pathways linking early adversity to later emotional health outcomes. Her work consistently demonstrates how stress response systems develop differently following early life challenges.
