Anna Gawron

Anna Gawron is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Pedagogy, Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS). She specializes in childhood depression, neurodevelopmental disorders, and modern neuroimaging methods, particularly using fNIRS and eye-tracking technologies.

• Research Focus: Neuronal mechanisms of childhood depression, cognitive resilience in developmental disorders, and neuroimaging-based diagnostics.
• Recent Work: 2024 publications on fNIRS analysis of prefrontal hemodynamic responses in children with ASD/ADHD/depression, and eye-tracking applications in depression screening. A 2023 study compared text comprehension in digital vs. print media.
• Scientific Engagement: Active in fNIRS Society since 2023, with presentations at international conferences in Warsaw, Birmingham, and Zakopane.
