Prof. Dr. Christine Falter-Wagner is a faculty member at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU Munich), and leads the Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Social Interaction (NEVIA) Group. Her research integrates social cognitive neuroscience with digital phenotyping and portable biosensing technologies.
- Focuses on social interaction dynamics and neurodevelopmental disorders
- Utilizes multimodal methods: eye-tracking, motion analysis, neuroimaging
- Develops behavioral markers for digital diagnostics
Research Interests include:
- Nonverbal communication mechanisms
- Temporal coordination in dyadic interactions
- Neural processing of social synchrony
- Comorbidities like dyspraxia and borderline personality disorder
The NEVIA Lab employs digital phenotyping and remote biosensing to study deviations in social behavior patterns across conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and psychiatric comorbidities. Current projects emphasize portable neuroimaging (fNIRS) and real-world behavioral quantification.
