Anna Franckowiak

Prof. Anna Franckowiak is a Professor of Multi-Wavelength Astronomy at Ruhr University Bochum since 2020. She holds a PhD from the University of Bonn (2011) and conducted research at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (Stanford) and DESY Zeuthen, leading a Helmholtz Young Investigator Group. Her research focuses on multi-messenger astronomy, studying extreme cosmic phenomena like exploding stars and supermassive black holes using optical, gamma-ray, and neutrino observations. She was honored as a Henriette Herz Scout in 2021.
