Anna E. Boone

Dr. Anna E. Boone is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Missouri, College of Health Sciences. She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) and directs the Optimal Performance & Enhanced Neurorehabilitation (OPEN) Lab, focusing on improving neurorehabilitation outcomes for individuals with acquired brain injuries.

• Bachelor of Science with emphasis in Occupational Therapy, University of Central Arkansas

Her research specializes in reducing functional impairments caused by neurological conditions through cognitive interventions and non-invasive brain stimulation. The OPEN Lab develops clinically feasible assessments and interventions to enhance independence in stroke survivors, traumatic brain injury patients, and those with cancer-related cognitive impairments.

Dr. Boone teaches courses such as OC_THR 5140 (Human Motion & Occupation) and OC_THR 5150 (Concepts of Neuroscience). She is a member of the Missouri Occupational Therapy Association (2018–present), American Occupational Therapy Association (2010–present), and American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (2013–present).
