Anna Digka is an Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki's School of Dentistry. She holds a PhD in Dentistry (2013) and prior degrees from the same institution. Her research focuses on regenerative endodontics, dental pulp biology, and 3D imaging techniques. She has held roles as a Contractor Lecturer (2017–2022) and External Collaborator at the European University Cyprus (2021–2022).
- Recipient of a Greece/EU-funded Post-Doctoral Scholarship (2019–2021) investigating stem cell preservation in regenerative endodontics.
- Published extensively on regenerative techniques, pulp vascular anatomy, and platelet concentrate applications.
Education:
- PhD, Dentistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2013)
- Masters, Dentistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2000)
- Bachelor, Dentistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1998)
Research Interests: Combining 3D imaging with regenerative therapies to advance endodontic care. Her work bridges immunohistochemical analysis of pulp vasculature with clinical applications in stem cell preservation and platelet concentrate therapies. Key areas include histologic outcomes of regenerative endodontic procedures (REPs) in immature teeth and anatomical variations in root canal systems.
Grants & Projects: Principal Investigator for a 2019–2021 project studying SCAP stem cells' cryopreservation. Also contributed to EU-funded projects on dental 3D reconstruction and microscopic analysis (2003–2005).
Awards: Post-doctoral scholarship recognizing her leadership in regenerative endodontic research.
