Anna Chahoud is a Professor of Latin at the Department of Classics, Trinity College Dublin, within the School of Histories and Humanities. She joined Trinity College in 2006 as Chair of Latin and is a Fellow of Trinity College Dublin (FTCD, 2007) and Public Orator of the University of Dublin. Her research spans fragmentary Republican Latin, textual transmission, Latin registers, and the interplay between literary and spoken language.
- Research Focus: Fragmentary Republican Latin, textual transmission, Latin grammar, and linguistic variation.
- Teaching: Coordinates undergraduate/postgraduate Latin teaching, lectures on Latin satire, early Latin, and Roman rhetoric, and teaches on the MPhil programme.
- Publications: Authored/co-authored works on Lucilius, Latin grammar, colloquial vs. literary Latin, and manuscript studies.
