Anna Bullo

Anna Bullo is a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, Università della Svizzera italiana (USI). She holds a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences, focusing on social norms and health prevention in children and adolescents. Her work integrates longitudinal studies and collaborative research with educational institutions.

Research Interests: Anna’s research centers on cyberbullying dynamics, health communication strategies, and social norms influencing adolescent behavior. She emphasizes evidence-based approaches to address risky behaviors in educational settings, leveraging data from large-scale studies.

Projects:

• AReS Project (2017–2021): A longitudinal study on risky behaviors in Ticino middle school students, analyzing cyberbullying and social norms. Results informed her doctoral thesis.
• COMETA Project: Investigates medical communication and antibiotic therapy, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Advising & Grants: Managed the AReS project, collaborating with Ticino’s School Division. COMETA’s SNSF funding supports her current research.

Labs/Teams: Based at Lab/Office P200 (Via Buffi 13, Lugano), contributing to interdisciplinary teams in health communication and youth studies.
