Anna Brytek-Matera

Prof. Anna Brytek-Matera is a Professor of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Wrocław, serving as Head of the Department of Nutritional Psychology, Director of the Eating Behavior Research Laboratory (EAT Lab), and leader of the postgraduate program in Psychodietetics.

Her research pioneers orthorexia nervosa studies in Poland with global impact, focusing on eating behavior pathology through interdisciplinary approaches combining nutritional science, psychology, and public health. She has significantly advanced methodologies for assessing disordered eating patterns and developed culturally adapted diagnostic tools.

The Eating Behavior Research Laboratory (EAT Lab) under her leadership conducts cutting-edge studies on nutritional cognition, food choice mechanisms, and clinical interventions for eating disorders through experimental, epidemiological, and cross-cultural methodologies.
