Anna Brown is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Management at the University of St Andrews, where she conducts research and teaches in the areas of process and practice theory, craft work, identity, and belonging. She is affiliated with the Centre for Contemporary Art and the Centre for Higher Education Research, reflecting her interdisciplinary approach bridging management, art, and education. She is actively supervising postgraduate research students and welcomes PhD projects aligned with practice-based and process-oriented methodologies.

Her research focuses on the materiality of craft skills, the formation of identity in organizational settings, and the role of embodiment and belonging in work. Her work often intersects with gender, emotion, and organizational culture, contributing to both management theory and qualitative methodology.
The recent articles (2021–2024) demonstrate a consistent engagement with qualitative, interpretive research in organizational contexts. They span topics such as humor in the UK Fire and Rescue Service, care ethics in academia, poetic methods in research, and identity in consumer technology. Collectively, these works highlight a methodological commitment to creativity, reflexivity, and the human element in organizational life.
