Anna Borne is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Grenoble Alpes University, affiliated with the Psychology and Neurocognition Laboratory (LPNC). She works in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, focusing on cognitive and cerebral reorganization after hemispherotomy for Rasmussen’s encephalitis.
Educational Roles:
- 2021-2025: Teaching Assistant (TD) in Cognitive Psychology for L1 and L2 Psychology students
- 2021-2025: Course Leader (CM) in Cognitive Neuroscience of Executive Functions and Theory of Mind for L3 Psychology
- 2024-2025: CM in Introduction to Cognitive Psychology for Nursing students
- 2024-2025: TD in Statistics for L1 Psychology
Research Focus: Specializing in post-surgical neuroplasticity in Rasmussen encephalitis patients, her work combines multimodal neurocognitive assessments and brain connectivity mapping. Current projects analyze language reorganization patterns and cognitive compensation mechanisms after hemispherectomy.
Scientific Recognition:
- 2024 French League Against Epilepsy award recipient
- Co-developer of the LEXTOMM digital assessment battery for neurocognitive functions
Publication Trends: Recent work focuses on structural brain adaptations, multimodal neurocognitive evaluation, and long-term functional outcomes in epilepsy surgery patients. Her research combines clinical observations with advanced neuroimaging analysis to challenge historical assumptions about aphasia following dominant hemisphere removal.
