Ann Reich

Ann Reich is an Associate Professor at the School of International Studies and Education within the Faculty of Design and Society at the University of Technology Sydney. She coordinates the Master of Education (Learning and Leadership) and teaches subjects on professional learning and leading learning in postgraduate programs.

• Research interests: professional and workplace learning, practice theory, public sector reform
• Teaching experience: 25+ years in adult and workplace learning degrees

Her research employs practice theory to examine professional learning in engineering, health, and higher education contexts. Recent publications explore:

• Decentring leadership through practice architectures
• Use of Foucault’s theories in chronic disease care
• Technology integration in vocational education

Scientific contributions include:

• UTS Learning and Teaching Award (2018) for innovation in education
• Co-editor of Practice, Learning and Change (2012)

She has led funded projects on:

• LeadingPod: Social media in business learning (Research Council of Norway, 2015-2018)
• Engineers’ continuing professional learning (UTS, 2011-2013)
