Dr. Ann M. Lagges is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine. She serves as Director of the Internship Program in Clinical Psychology and is co-chief of both the Tics, Anxiety and Compulsions clinic (TAC clinic) and Mood Disorders Clinic within the Riley Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic.
Dr. Lagges' research focuses on child and adolescent psychology with emphasis on:
- Mood disorders and depression in children and adolescents
- Tics, anxiety, and compulsive behaviors
- Behavioral interventions for pediatric psychological conditions
- The intersection of psychological and physical health conditions
Her recent publications demonstrate expertise in treating conditions such as pediatric rumination syndrome, hair-pulling behavior in toddlers, and depression in youth. Dr. Lagges' work often takes a case series approach to develop evidence-based interventions.
Dr. Lagges is deeply committed to psychology education and training the next generation of psychologists through her directorship of the Internship Program in Clinical Psychology. She supervises multiple weekly training clinics where she works with child psychiatry fellows, psychology post-doctoral fellows, interns, and practicum students.
Her clinical work is based at the Pediatric Care Center in Indianapolis, where she provides specialized care for children and adolescents with complex psychological conditions.
