Dr. Ann-Kathrin McLean is an Assistant Professor and Program Head of the Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Royal Roads University. Her research focuses on Holocaust remembrance, memory studies, and how millennials engage with sites of trauma. She holds a Doctor of Social Sciences from Royal Roads University and has over 15 years of experience in tourism sectors including hospitality, events, and performing arts production in Europe and the Middle East. McLean is a recipient of the Kelly Outstanding Teaching Award and has contributed to SSHRC-funded research on European community studies. She serves as President of the Young Researchers Network at ECSA-C and holds leadership roles in memory education initiatives.
