Ann Jordan serves as Provost and Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Worcester, providing strategic leadership in academic planning since her appointment to the newly created Deputy Provost role in February 2021. Previously Head of the School of Education (2014-2021), she chairs the University's Safeguarding Committee and serves as Vice Chair of Academic Board while maintaining membership on the University Executive Board, Leadership Group, and Academic Regulations Committee.
Her research focuses on teacher education, educational leadership, and school curriculum development, evidenced by academic publications and presentations at national and international conferences. She actively shapes pedagogical frameworks through contributions to the Universities’ Council for the Education of Teachers Management Forum and former West Midlands Deans Group membership.
Key responsibilities include line management of the Academic Registrar, Director for Quality and Educational Development, Library Services, and Employer Engagement divisions. She co-chairs the Academic Representation Oversight Group with Worcester Students’ Union leadership and maintains active External Examiner roles across UK universities, most recently as Chief External Examiner.
