- BSc (Hons) and MSc in Computer Science (University of Melbourne)
- DPhil in Engineering Science (University of Oxford, Rhodes Scholar)
Her research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, particularly Bayesian networks for probabilistic causal modeling in intelligent systems. She has co-authored the seminal text Bayesian Artificial Intelligence and pioneered applications in biosecurity risk assessment, fog forecasting, clinical cardiovascular risk assessment, and conservation threat prediction.
Recent research trends include generative AI safety, Bayesian network elicitation from medical experts, and OOBN automation. Collaborations span healthcare (PHRisM), smart infrastructure (Building 4.0 CRC), and vaccine surveillance.
- Scientific Awards
- IEEE ICDM 10-year Highest Impact Award (2023)
She has supervised over 128 research outputs and secured >$8M in funding. Current projects include TMLGenAI (trustworthy generative AI) and MCRI Vaccine Surveillance.
