Ann Baynes Coiro is a Professor of English at Rutgers University's Department of English, specializing in seventeenth-century literature and culture. Her research spans Shakespeare to Aphra Behn, with emphasis on Milton, post-Shakespearean drama, Cavalier poetry, and early modern women writers. She integrates book history and performance theory while focusing on literary form. Coiro holds a PhD from the University of Maryland and a BA from George Washington University.
