Anke Karber

Anke Karber is a Professor of Social Pedagogy specialized in Research on Vocational Education and Didactics at Leuphana University Lüneburg since November 2019. She previously held research and teaching roles at TU Dortmund University, HAWK University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Graz.

Her research focuses on the theory-practice relationship in social work education, professionalization processes, diversity and inclusion in vocational training, and didactic approaches in social work education. She leads the research project 'KomPädenZ Potenzial' and contributes to comparative child welfare studies.

Karber is actively involved in academic organizations, including serving on the Scientific Advisory Board for the SNF project 'Berufspraktische Ausbildung heute' (2021-2023) and participating in networks like DGfE, ÖFEB, and VETNET. She advises a team of Ph.D. students and contributes to quality development in vocational education.
