Anke Ehlers is a Professor of Experimental Psychopathology at the University of Oxford and a Visiting Professor at King’s College London. She has held prestigious positions such as Research Director at the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma at Maudsley Hospital and is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society since 1994.

Her research focuses on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorders, and cognitive behavioural interventions, combining clinical psychology with experimental approaches to understand trauma-related psychopathology.
Anke Ehlers has received numerous accolades, including the Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina fellowship, British Academy fellowship, and Wellcome Trust Principal Research Fellowships. She has also been recognized for her contributions to PTSD guidelines via the British Medical Association award.
