Dr. Anjana Singh is an Assistant Professor specializing in Early Modern South Asia and Global History at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Arts. She holds a PhD from Leiden University and has held academic positions at institutions such as the London School of Economics and the University of Mumbai. Her research focuses on the Dutch East India Company (VOC), Indian Ocean trade networks, and colonial port cities like Cochin. She coordinates projects such as SondToll Registers Online (STR) and contributes to global historical studies through editorial roles in journals like Early Modern Low Countries.
Education: PhD in History (2007, Leiden University), Advanced Master's (2002, Leiden), MPhil and MA from University of Mumbai (2001, 1999), and BA (Hons.) in History from University of Delhi (1997).
