Anjali Nerlekar

Anjali Nerlekar is an Associate Professor and Department Chair at Rutgers University, specializing in South Asian Literatures. Her academic career spans India, Bahrain, and the United States, with a focus on multilingual Indian modernisms and postcolonial studies.

Her research explores the intersections of Multilingualism, Bombay Poetry, and Postcolonial Archives, analyzing how regional, national, and transnational influences shape literary cultures. She co-edits Modernism/Modernity and collaborates on the Bombay Poets Archive at Cornell University.
