Anja Schneider

Anja Schneider is a Professor and Group Leader at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE), focusing on extracellular vesicles (EVs) in neurodegenerative diseases. Her research explores EV-mediated release of toxic proteins like α-synuclein, their sorting into EVs, and the role of this process in disease progression. She also investigates physiological EV functions in the central nervous system using primary cell cultures and mouse models.
