Anja Maria Pesch

Anja Maria Pesch is an Associate Professor in Pedagogy at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, affiliated with the Kindergarten Teacher Training Program and the Master in Special Education. She teaches courses in child development, language acquisition, and diversity in education.

Her research examines multilingualism in early childhood, focusing on kindergarten practices with multilingual children and families, kindergarten-home cooperation, and translingual educational approaches. She is particularly interested in semiotic landscape analysis as a tool for understanding educational environments.

Pesch is currently involved in the research project 'Multilingualism in Transitions' (MultiTrans), which investigates language choices during educational transitions. She contributes to research groups on multilingual contexts and early childhood pedagogy.
