Dr. Anja Kuschmann is a Reader in Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Strathclyde, part of the College of Health and Wellbeing. Her work focuses on motor speech disorders, particularly dysarthria in children and adults, and the acoustic analysis of speech production across the lifespan. She leads projects funded by the ESRC, Economic and Social Research Council, and Parkinson's UK, investigating speech variability in children, aging and communication, and integrated rehabilitation for stroke survivors.
Education:
- PhD in 'The dimensions of intonation in neurogenic foreign accent syndrome' from the University of Strathclyde (2011)
- MA in 'Focus marking in non-fluent aphasia' from the University of Potsdam (2006)
