Anja Katrin Johansen is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Clinical Medicine, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, and an Authorized Clinical Nutritionist affiliated with the Nutrition Center at the University Hospital of Northern Norway.

Research Focus: Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) in children and adolescents, LDL cholesterol management, sex/gender-specific lipid profiles, maternal lipid predictors of childhood cardiovascular risk, and adherence to statin therapy.

Recent Article Trends: Analyzes FH treatment outcomes, sex differences in cholesterol burden, intergenerational lipid risk prediction, and medication adherence in youth. Collaborative work spans Oslo University Hospital, University of Oslo, and international lipid clinics.

Labs/Teams: Member of the Clinical Nutrition Research Group at UiT, collaborating with the Lipid Clinic and NKTforFH.
