Anja Jetschke

Prof. Dr. Anja Jetschke is a Professor of International Relations at the Department of Political Science, Georg-August University Göttingen, since April 2012. She has held leadership roles including Vice Chair of the German Political Science Association (DVPW, 2016-2018), member of the IPSA Executive Committee (since 2021), and Vice Chair of the ISA's International Political Economy Section (2023-2024). Her research focuses on institutional design of international and regional organizations, norms, and governance.

Education:

• PhD in Political Science (2001) from the European University Institute, Florence.

Research Interests:

• Institutional architecture of regional and global governance.
• Norm diffusion, authority in international regimes, and policy scope in regional organizations.
• Peacekeeping missions and comparative regionalism.

Recent Trends in Research: Recent work emphasizes transactional authority approaches, institutional similarity indices (ROSI), and analyzing peace operations through datasets like MILINDA. Her 2023 studies explore UNSC control over regional organizations and norm adoption mechanisms.
