معرفی
Anja C. Andersen is a Professor of Public Understanding of Science at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, and leads research in astrophysics of dust. She supervises bachelor, master, and PhD students and has taught courses like Stars and Planets (Astro2) and Extragalactic Astrophysics (Astro4).
- Education:
- Ph.D. in Astrophysics (1999), University of Copenhagen
- M.Sc. in Physics and Astronomy (1995), University of Copenhagen
- Diploma in Higher Education Teaching (2003)
- Leadership Training (2011)
Research Interests revolve around cosmic dust in astrophysical environments, including its role in star/planet formation, interstellar medium dynamics, and galactic evolution. She combines observational studies, theoretical modeling, and laboratory experiments to explore dust properties and nucleosynthesis.
Articles Trends show expertise in dust lifecycle (HELGA studies), r-process elements in neutron star mergers (Nature 2019), and interstellar dust growth. Her work bridges astrophysics, cosmochemistry, and observational techniques.
Scientific Awards include 21 honors, such as the 2022 Hørups Debatpris, 2014 Direktør N. Bang Scholarship, and 2004 National Danish Award for Public Outreach.
Teaching & Supervision spans institutions like Uppsala University, with mentorship in the University of Copenhagen's network for young female scientists. She has supervised 4 PhD, 7 M.Sc., and 27 B.Sc. students.
