Anita Iversen

Anita Iversen is a researcher affiliated with the Faculty of Health Sciences at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. Her academic work primarily focuses on factors influencing breast cancer development, including genetic susceptibility, lifestyle, ovarian hormones, and mammographic density.

In her 2013 doctoral thesis titled "Genetic Susceptibility, Lifestyle, Ovarian Hormones, and Mammographic Density – key factors in breast cancer development. The Norwegian Energy Balance and Breast Cancer Aspects-I Study," she examined how trends such as overweight, obesity, early menarche, and delayed first childbirth may increase breast cancer risk through hormonal exposure.
