Anita Hobday serves as a Principal Lecturer and Course Lead for the BSc Nursing Degree Apprenticeship within the Department of Apprenticeships & CPD at the University of Worcester. With over 40 years of clinical expertise since qualifying in 1985, she has held pivotal roles including District Nurse, Macmillan Nurse, and Lymphoedema Nurse Consultant, driving advancements in patient care and professional education across the UK healthcare landscape.

Her research and professional focus centers on Lymphoedema management and Palliative Care, where she actively shapes global standards through Casley-Smith International and Macmillan Cancer Support partnerships. She spearheads the Lymphoedema education community of practice, developing evidence-based curricula that bridge clinical practice with academic rigor while addressing critical gaps in cancer nursing and complex wound management.
Anita previously directed the BSc Nursing program and now leads the Nursing Degree Apprenticeship, mentoring cohorts of nursing professionals through work-integrated learning models. Her leadership emphasizes competency-based assessment frameworks and industry-academia collaboration to address NHS workforce challenges.
